Joy in the Journey

Life is always full of battles and mountains. Once we conquer one another rears its ugly head. We never really “arrive” do we?

Life is not measured in achievements. Life is measured in how we walk through the ordinary, through the successes and especially through the “failures.” Life is about the Climb.

Keep your head held high. Be the best you you can be. Accept nothing less. Embrace “failure.” The struggles may sometimes knock you down, but they will not break you. Dust yourself off. Turn to the God who loves you. Forgive. Learn. Grow. It’s not about how fast you get there, it’s just about getting there. Find the joy in the journey.

I’ve been on a merry-go-round, not knowing how to give God what he wanted from me. In the last few week I’ve gotten several prophecies spoken over my life. Thing were so out of order I wanted to commit suicide. I didn’t want to do the God thing anymore. But there was something stronger inside of me that did not allow me to give up completely. The force of evil was overwhelming, but the Spirit inside of me, was pulling me away from the darkness. I did a search on what one of the Pastor’s said to me, I needed to be sold out, completely surrenderd, this search landed to your website, and it was my answer, totally! Valuable info. And your testimony about life not being measured in achievements, so Me! It blessed my soul!

My life has been about whatever, but I’m in a place now, where I believe I should have accomplished so much more. Your testimony on how we can’t obtain total surrender by our own human works, or spiritual efforts, but God has to be the one to put that drawing in us, to surrender. Humility and surrender brings God to us and us to God. I am called to be an Evangelist, since I was 24, I’m thirty something now and I’ve ministered, but not in front of large pulpits. I just didn’t understand why I couldn’t have success and be a Christian. People are sucessful and far from God, why is there a limit for me. Is there someone out there who’d experiance this with drawal from God?
